Hidden Visitor I by ~Raventhird is classic photographic surrealism. The simplest elements and juxtapositions on-set can create some of the most striking and memorable surreal portraits. (
I have to say this reminds me of that creature from Pan's Labyrinth, at the feast table on the other side of the chalk door, with the eyes "attaching" to the hands. Very unique, with a strange aura around it. And the collage concept is quite becomming. The bright nails in contrast to the bland yet dark lips, in contrast yet again to the stark white sweater and blurred, neutral background.
I love that you created a distinct foreground and midground with color. I feel that the detail of the fingernail colors really adds to the shot. This is a very interesting photo. Those seem to be hard to find on DA now-a-days. Sighhh.
I really like it! It's surprising just how proper the eyes look on her face...after all, it does form an expression. I enjoy the fact that you desaturated all but the immediate foreground, as well. I think it's very subtle and many may even overlook it (at first, I didn't even realize it), but it works quite well.
