Popular television soaps and women's magazines have recognised the seductive appeal of romanticised pain or trauma, and commodified it. Today it is not only artists and their creations that bravely and publicly suffer. Now the domestic tragedies, diseases and tragic malfunctions of everyday mums and dads, made public, vie with high art to move us to engage with the nobility of human suffering. - Angela O’Brien

awesome photoshop but u probably should have just cut the eyes added sum blood and copy the tusks into the pic, but wut u did also works well

...actually, I'd hunt elephants and Im sure that pissed many of u off, but african elephants are seriously over populated in many areas and are being killed as food for natives anyway. I and many like me believe, hunt the animal in limited numbers, take ur trophy, leave bulk to the natives who use the elephant to not only feed the population but stimulate the economy also, this is why countries like such sucessful african nations like kenya, or Nigera that also have huge elephant numbers also allow hunting. if u still pissed, i dont care...

Great raw emotion coming through here. The fact that the image is only partially colored gives a more gloomy, harsh atmosphere which beautifully suits the theme.

thats an incredible, painful and powerful piece, right there.
sorta reminds me about this line in a song,that says 'you're just so pretty in your pain'. there used as an excuse to abuse someone.
here you got the point across, without actually hurting anyone
